    Responsibilities

     

    JOB SUMMARY
    Performs a variety of administrative, supervisory and trade work in receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing and shipping materials, supplies, equipment, and parts in receiving facility.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Maintains receiving and distributing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing, operational, personnel and procedures.
    • Complies with Federal, State and local receiving, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
    • Safeguards receiving operations by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Manager must control inventory levels by physical counts and reconciling with data storage system.
    • Maintains physical condition of facility by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
    • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Completes receiving operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
    • All other duties assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
    • High School Degree or GED equivalent preferred.
    • 1-3 years experience in warehouse/receiving or training or equivalent combinatgion of education and experience.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Valid Drivers License, Forklift Operators Certification
    • Completion of training in safe-handling procedures for perishable items.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
    • Frequent pushing, pulling, bending and walking.
    • Intermittent sitting at a desk or company vehicle.
    • Work area is both indoors and outdoors and subject to variable temperatures.
    • May be subject to smoking environment, moderate noise and bright lights.
    • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property. This includes all shifts, weekends and holiday periods Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
